Why visit the Cuyabeno Reserve?
Spanning a surface area of over 603,300 hectares in the Ecuadorian Amazon, the Cuyabeno Reserve is one of the most diverse ecosystems in the world. This tropical primary rainforest is home to over 500 species of birds, 450 species of fish, hundreds of species of mammals, reptiles, and amphibians, and an estimated 12,000 plant species.
